B.B.A. Marketing.
I earned my Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from Middle Tennessee State University (Class of 2021), while also completing a minor in Recording Industry and Business Administration. This academic combination allowed me to build a strong foundation in core marketing principles, such as consumer behavior, brand strategy, and market research, while also gaining insight into the business side of the music and entertainment industry. My coursework encouraged both analytical thinking and creativity, shaping my ability to approach marketing through a strategic yet culturally relevant lens.
In addition to my degree, I completed the Dale Carnegie certification program, where I focused on developing essential professional skills such as leadership, effective communication, public speaking, and relationship-building. This experience played a key role in strengthening my confidence and ability to present ideas clearly, collaborate with others, and lead with purpose, skills that have continued to benefit me in both academic and professional settings.
During my time at MTSU, I was an active member of DECA, where I participated in business meetings, networking opportunities, and various professional outings. Through DECA, I was able to engage with like-minded peers, expand my understanding of real-world business practices, and gain exposure to different areas of marketing and entrepreneurship. These experiences helped bridge the gap between classroom learning and practical application.
I was also a member of the Recording Academy’s Grammy U program, an exclusive opportunity that connected me with professionals in the music industry. Through this program, I attended events, panels, and networking sessions that provided valuable insight into the inner workings of the entertainment business. Being part of Grammy U allowed me to further explore the intersection of marketing, branding, and music, while building meaningful industry connections that have influenced my career path.
